However, not everyone is feeling the Christmas joy and excitement, and that is why we want to raise vital funds for our charity partner AWARE this Christmas season. Aware is the national organisation providing free support, education and information services to those impacted by anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and related mood conditions. This is a charity very close to us at Press Up, and one that is extremely important to our staff.

Aware has been the Press Up Group’s official charity partner since 2018, during which time we have ran many fundraising initiatives across our venues, raising funds to support their vital services that support those suffering from depression and bi-polar disorder, and shine a light on positive mental health.

Working in hospitality often means working irregular hours and unsociable shifts. Due to the nature of the role, it can be stressful and pressured, and traditionally people face these pressures alone. Aware was a natural fit for Press Up when choosing a charity partner. Not only can we utilise our wide audience to help fundraise, but our partnership has allowed us to offer additional supports and education to our workforce. Through our partnership with Aware, our whole team know that it’s ok not to be ok, and that Press Up Group takes a proactive approach to promoting balance and positive mental health.
