Introducing Jazz Night’s at Americana Bar in The Devlin. This new night of music is sure to become a main stay in Dublin’s flourishing jazz scene and will also see The Devlin become a new centrepiece for Irish jazz.
Join us every Wednesday and Thursday night from 7pm-10pm for an evening of jazz with some of Dublin’s best musicians. Theinaugural jazz night took place on Wednesday the 23rd of March with the smooth tones of The Dublin Jazz Co-op gracing the walls of The Devlin for the very first time. Wednesday and Thursday nights in Americana Bar at The Devlin will see music by various artist from the Dublin Co-op. Aleka Potinga is a Dublin-based Romanian vocalist, cellist, composer and lyricist.
Since moving to Dublin Aleka has established herself within the Dublin and greater Irish jazz scene, releasing her debut album in 2019. Chris Guilfoyle is an up and coming guitar player on the Dublin jazz scene and since graduating from college, Chris has been actively performing in the Dublin music scene as well as abroad. Eoin O’Halloran is the bass player for the band ÄTSCH and is well know in the Dublin Jazz scene regularly playing shows across the city. Jennifer McMahon is a vocalist, songwriter, producer, and performer from Dublin, and is another well know face in the Dublin Jazz scene.
The Dublin Jazz scene has been on the rise in recent years, and this is something that we wanted to celebrate! Both Americana Bar and The Devlin as a whole are always looking for new ways in which we can promote the arts, and we are absolutely delighted to be able to provide both new and established artists with a space to showcase their music.
