Meet Andrew Brennan
From kitchen porter to creating delicious menus as Head Chef.
I started in pressup back in 2008, I was a kitchen porter in captain americas blanchardstown, I moved up quickly through each area of the kitchen from kitchen porter to grill chef and then deliveries manager, I found a love for food and wanting to be better and pressup gave me the greatest opportunity by sending me to DIT to learn culinary arts
I went to college for 3 years while working in captain americas and then I was sent to Robertas when it first opened , I was like a fish out of water but I was so eager to learn . I was thought by great chefs from Troy Watson,Barra Hurley ,Ryan bell and Dan Mchugh, I moved all the way to junior sous in robertas within 2 years there, I then transfered to Isabelle’s to work with Jackson Reboli, for 2 years. I have since moved back to robertas and was made sous chef for 7 months and then I was promoted to Head chef now in the summer.
Pressup is all about growth in the company and they gave me opportunities I didn’t think I could get . They do pride themselves on growth in the company and moving up iv seen people start from the bottom like me and now they are Head chefs, General managers , Area managers even a CEO to the company .
