We are currently seeking a dedicated Restaurant Host with strong operational and hospitality experience to join the Bonnie's team in the beautiful Glasson Lakehouse, Athlone. If you are passionate about hospitality and have previous experience in a busy food and beverage venue, then we would love to hear from you!
The Role:
• Greet guests with warmth and friendliness
• Manage the restaurant's waiting list and seating arrangements
• Take reservations over phone and manage them on our boking system
• Answer questions regarding the menu, restaurant offerings, and policies
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
• Manage and coordinate with servers and other restaurant staff
• Help resolve any guest complaints or issues
• Ensure timely seating of guests
• Assist in coordinating the flow of restaurant service
• Communicate any special requests or needs from guests to the kitchen or server
staff
• Previous experience and strong knowledge of food and beverage essential
• Strong communicator
• Be solution focused and work on own initiative
• High standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
• Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
Applicant Requirements:
- Have experience within a high-volume venue
- Flexibility with shift times
- Be committed to continual personal improvement and advancement in their profession
- Have a keen eye for detail Level-headed/sensible and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliable
- Ability to work flexibly under pressure with a good sense of humour
- Approachable with excellent people skills and positive attitude
- Superior customer service skills and an understanding of customer experience
- Must have experience in Restaurant Operations
